Hello dear ones,

I hope you had a fabulous January and an even better start to February!

I’m not sure if you feel time flying by, but I certainly do! At least we’re still in Aquarius season as I write this. I want to share that since the beginning of the year, I’ve noticed a significant shift in my ability to accomplish tasks that once felt challenging. I’ve also engaged in a lot of personal self-reflection, gaining clarity about the direction of my little business.

Late last year, I rented a space with other artists in Boulder, thinking it would be great to step out of my house and connect with fellow creatives. I even considered offering classes there, as many people have asked me to do so. However, life had other plans, and the lease wasn’t renewed, making the space unavailable. I’ve come to realize that I prefer working from home, needing only a designated area separate from my living space. Dyeing fabric can be quite messy! I always promise myself I’ll clean up as I go, but give me a day or two, and I find my kitchen looking like a dye explosion.

To address this, I bought two electric burners and two new pots to explore colors and patterns. If I make a mess upstairs, at least it’s just me who sees it. I also picked up plastic boxes with lids to organize all the little items like rubber bands, string, and wooden rods. The list goes on! I aim to finish my organizing project by the end of the month. There’s something about having an organized space that truly correlates with a happy mindset.

Recently, I took a trip to Florida to visit a cousin and then my sister in West Palm Beach. I had no business vacationing, as I had so much to organize in my personal life and even more to do with my business. Yet, I found myself spinning my wheels without making much progress. That nearly two-week getaway turned out to be exactly what I needed. It revitalized me, giving me the energy and clarity to tackle everything more efficiently once I returned.

I even ventured into two “scary rooms” to see what was inside. Opening the doors and windows helped release any stagnation and motivated me to declutter and store the rest properly in plastic boxes.

As you may know, January marked the start of Aquarius season—the age of Aquarius. Happy birthday to all fellow Aquarians! This period signifies a collective awakening, where truths emerge, accountability is emphasized, and we reflect on what went wrong and how to move forward. It’s fascinating to witness and remain objective during this time.

I must confess that since the start of the year, I’ve felt a strong drive to keep moving forward, creating even as the world seems to be in turmoil. Whenever I find myself in overwhelming situations with uncertainty ahead, I return to the question: how can I take care of myself right now? Sometimes that means visiting a museum with a loved one, listening to music from another decade that resonates, creating something, or journaling. It’s not easy to witness the hidden truths coming to light on such a grand scale, but for new energy to enter, the old systems and the people within them must first be dismantled for something better to emerge.

This made me reflect on the relationships in my own life. I found myself asking whether I was truly happy with the people around me and if they were worth my investment of time and energy. Were these relationships stagnant or growing? This evaluation applied to both personal and business connections. I take the time to write down exactly what I want from friends, business partners, and romantic relationships. This process helps set the stage to attract those individuals into my life. As cliché as it may sound, there’s a powerful connection between this intention and the outcomes that follow, and it’s essential to be at peace with yourself regardless of what happens. After all, why invest energy in someone who can only give in ways that no longer serve you?

I still have inventory I’d like to find a good home for as I venture into creating new wearable items. Keep an eye out, as I’ll be offering some fantastic deals. There’s nothing quite like starting fresh; if you’re interested in refreshing your couch or dining area, there are many beautiful, affordable products available.

I accidentally deleted the product images along with all their descriptions, so I’ll be re-uploading the pictures to my shop. If you need more information, feel free to ask for dimensions or any other details!
